Op-Ed Submission: SOUND THE GENERAL ALARM
Did General Powell actually ask, “Can we continue to listen to Rush Limbaugh?”
The question for us is, “Does Colin Powell ever listen?” Answer: Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer. Frankly speaking, I would wager Powell has never done so. Should Powell ever listen to the successful radio talk show host he would discover that Rush simply reads how the ‘Useful Idiots’ exposed themselves, then Rush simply repeats the theater of the absurd to the ‘Mob.’ The mob is we the people; you know the ones that should be protected from political tyrants by the “Fourth Estate,” formally the PRESS. In addition to the freedom to bear arms, General Powell and fellow Americans, we are armed with a radio knob.
The sane Press no longer exists, nor do some intelligent Generals that took an oath for the same reasons. Generals fear free speech, if derived from their personal intelligence. It would unleash criticism from the current illiterate adolescents posing as journalists. Courageous American Generals and Admirals spoke out. Look it up at the Military Academy Libraries. Perhaps Generals cloistered behind their new societal royal courts would condescend and visit the hoi polloi. We are the mob, which must be tolerant to allow the free speech of Bill Maher. Yes, Bill Maher is also an entertainer who has made a lucrative living trashing Jesus Christ, on stage and television for years.
General Powell, did you forget American men and women are dieing to allow Maher’s delusions? Americans die for the industry that feeds Bill Maher as well. Indeed, how many American Generals would publicly oppose such an abomination as words created by his mind and directly regurgitated from Maher’s mouth? I can think of two such courageous American Generals. They were General George Washington and General Douglas MacArthur…..look it up Sir Colin Powell; Royal Court of the Messiah of Illinois.
